APPRAISER: We've put together a little Bob Ross appreciation society today.
They just never come up for auction, and trust me, I keep my eyes out.
People have a very emotional connec- look, I'm tearing up.
People have such an emotional connection to Bob.
Bob Ross paintings like this would sell in the $15,000 to $25,000 range.
GUEST: Oh my gosh!
GUEST: I didn't know there were so many Bob Ross's that are still out there, and I'm part of a crowd.
Well, not a crowd.
A small group of Bob Ross owners, and I think that's kind of cool, too.
It was...I think it was in the 90's at a Quonset hut sale, and it was in the back.
They had a stack of paintings and I had $5 in my pocket, and I liked this one, and he said, "Okay."
And I paid him $5, all I had, and I got this painting.
It hung on the wall for years.
Oh, at least 10 years later I was watching "Joy of Painting," PBS, I love that show, and I'm like, "You know, that painting he's doing looks kind of familiar!"
And then I went back where it was hanging on the wall and, "Oh my gosh... it's got his name on it, it's got Ross on there!"
So it was so exciting.
It was just... so cool.
I am a big fan of Bob Ross.
I love what he does, I love his happy clouds.
I have happy Bob Ross socks on today.
We might get it framed.
We might get it framed and insured Because I didn't even know that.
Both things, I think that's going to happen.
