When the remains of former African slaves were found on a former Colonial era estate, plans were made to rebury the remains with honor and dignity. Artists volunteered to make the burial containers incorporating the 'Sankofa' symbol of the Adinkra people of West Africa. Watch as some of the artists reveal their sketches and talk about the meaning of the imagery they chose.
