Sonia Manzano on becoming Sesame Street’s ‘Maria’

Writer and actor Sonia Manzano played the character of Maria on “Sesame Street” for 44 years before announcing her retirement. In her new memoir, “Becoming Maria,” Manzano recounts her tough childhood in the South Bronx and how she used her experiences to help other children.
