Striking Picture of Freed Women Slaves Resurfaces

A historical photo depicting women who lived half their lives as slaves and half their lives as free people went viral. The photo was taken in 1916, more than 50 years after the end of the Civil War. The true ages of the women are unknown, though they are all listed at over 100 years. We spoke to two historians about this striking photo. Originally aired September 19, 2014.
