ONE CENTRAL FLORIDA

Desert Inn Ghost Tale

Clip: Season 2014 Episode 33 | 6m 6s  | Video has closed captioning.

Travel down the old Florida highways and back roads and you’ll see many relics of our state’s history. One such place is at the intersection of U.S. 441 and state road 60 in Osceola County. The Desert Inn at Yeehaw Junction was originally an 1880s trading post for cowboys and lumberman, and later served as a saloon, restaurant, gas station, dance hall…and even a bordello.
