U.S. considers Syria airstrikes, Iraq humanitarian aid

After 100 airstrikes against the Islamic State in northern Iraq, U.S. officials are discussing the option to expand the mission into Syria. The Pentagon has already begun surveillance flights above the region in preparation, but White House spokesman Josh Earnest did not confirm any further decisions.
