May 19, 1944: 19 year old waist gunner Clarence Cherry and the rest of his B-17 crew were shot down by enemy aircraft. They spent 26 hours on a raft in the cold North Sea until they were rescued by Danish fishermen. 70 years later, The Liberty Foundation gives Mr. Cherry the chance to remember his crew and his place in history.
