For centuries fashion has played a major role in folk art. The American Folk Art Museum recently posed a challenge to thirteen top designers, who were asked to create works of fashion by responding to artworks from the museum's collection. Christina Ha speaks with curators Stacey Hollander and Alexis Carreno about the result of this project, the exhibition "Folk Couture: Fashion and Folk Art."
