In 1998 the North Carolina legislature created UNC Health Care bringing together the main teaching hospital at UNC-Chapel Hill & the physicians at the UNC School of Medicine. That close relationship created among teachers, researchers, & caregivers, allows UNC Healthcare to advance medical knowledge & implementing it directly to patient care. Rick Sullivan visited UNC hospitals in Chapel Hill.
