MYA: "Full Time Kid, with Mya."
[laughter] Hi, I'm Mya.
Today on "Full Time Kid," we'll be making shadow puppets.
Here's what we'll need-- wooden skewers, parchment paper, scissors, a flashlight, a cardboard box, tape or glue, and card stock.
Draw or print out shapes that you want to use in your puppet show on the card stock.
Ask a grown-up to help you cut out the shapes with the scissors.
Stick the cut-out shapes onto the ends of the wooden skewers.
Cut a big hole from the cardboard box.
Tape or glue the parchment paper to cover the hole.
Use the flashlight to create shadows on the parchment paper.
Now you're ready for your shadow puppet show.
Daddy, what happened to the dinosaurs?
A long time ago, the Earth was filled with dinosaurs.
They ruled the land.
Rawrr!
They ruled the seas.
Bloop, bloop, bloop, bloop, bloop.
They ruled the air.
Raaawrrr!
Being a dinosaur is great.
We're on top of the food chain.
Suddenly, a huge asteroid headed for Earth.
Oh, no!
What's that in the sky?
My brain is too small to comprehend.
The asteroid hit the Earth and wiped out the dinosaurs, leaving their fossils behind.
Bam!
Oh, no!
What happens is another asteroid comes?
Don't worry, son.
Humans have much larger brains, and we can try to stop the next asteroid that heads to Earth.
Team Humans for the win!
Now I can sleep easy.
[snores] Thanks for learning how to make shadow puppets on "Full Time Kid."
Bye.
