(light music) - My lab work centers on growing plants and how plants might have the capabilities of some semblance of thinking.

I developed a system which could examine plant's reaction to certain compounds.

And I found at the conclusion of my experiment, that they could respond to glutamate, a chemical involved in neural signaling.

And from there I examined the pathway by which it was acting and found semblances to the pathway of glutamate in the human brain, a little rushed.
