Phil Kirk has long been a champion of education and economic development in North Carolina. Among the many roles he has held are State Senator, Secretary of the Department of Human Resources, and Chairman of the State Board of Education. Mr. Kirk's many years of public service have earned him a new honor as one of the recipients of the 2013 North Carolina Award.
