Susan Hudson, member of the Navajo Nation, shares stories about her quilts made to honor and pay tribute to her ancestors who endured the Navajo’s Long Walk to the Bosque Redondo in 1864. She uses symbols of the Navajo legacy with the Plains patterns and motifs in her designs. Her quilts make a powerful statement about the shared experiences of many Native American communities.
