Born in New Orleans, Ellis Marsalis has been a jazz musician and educator for more than half a century. A member of the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame, he has recorded 20 albums of his own and played on many other performer’s albums. The patriarch of the first family of Jazz, his sons Wynton, Branford, Delfeayo and Jason have all followed his footsteps and become accomplished musicians.
