Jazz singer Dee Dee Bridgewater won a Grammy Award for her CD tribute to singer Billie Holiday. She is now paying tribute to Holiday on stage at the Little Shubert Theatre in “Lady Day,” a biographical portrait of the tragic jazz icon told largely through her music. Rafael Pi Roman recently spoke with Ms. Bridgewater about this play and her own fascinating career.
