How Emeritus Became a Billion-Dollar Business

A lack of government oversight in the assisted-living industry has helped turn companies like Emeritus into massively profitable businesses. Emeritus earned $1.6 billion last year, and is set to drastically increase profits in coming years, as more and more baby boomers retire.
