Musicians Don't Let Their Babies Grow Up Without Health Care

Whether country, rock, folk or soul, two things once untied most of the musicians of Austin, Texas: lack of health insurance and wages averaging less than $16,000 per year. Add a serious illness to the mix and the the combination was often enough to end many aspiring careers. That changed with the creation of the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians.
