White Smoke at the Vatican: Francis Named 266th Pontiff

White smoke emanating from a Vatican chimney late Wednesday night signaled a new pope had been elected. Argentine Archbishop Jorge Bergoglio was selected as the 266th pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church, assuming the name Pope Francis.
