This week President Obama praised a bipartisan immigration plan that would address the issue of 11 million undocumented immigrants. Six years ago, President George W. Bush's attempt at an immigration bill collapsed in the Senate, exposing a deep lack of support among his own party. We look back to our June 29, 2007 show, where Doyle McManus explains why Bush’s immigration reform efforts failed.
