Not far from Josiah Henson Special Park in Bethesda, MD, Time Team America field school students were getting hands on experience in the sciences of archaeology. Botany, zooarchaeology, and soil analysis were some, the teens also got a private tour of the bones exhibit at the Smithsonian Institution, and took a 3 hour bus ride to the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Laboratory.
