UNC President Emeritus William Friday talks about growing up in Dallas, North Carolina with his mother who taught music and his father who was the mayor of Dallas and a bookkeeper in a textile company. Mr. Friday recalls growing up during the Depression and how it affected his attitude about life and his political affiliation.
