This Week at Lincoln Center: New York City Ballet

Conceived as a tribute to the silent film era in 2004, "Double Feature" is Susan Stroman’s second work for the New York City Ballet. The piece is comprised of two works featuring 60 dancers. Up first is “The Blue Necklace,” an homage to 1920s melodrama set to the music of Irving Berlin. That’s followed by “Makin’ Whoopee,” a visual comedy set to the songs of Walter Donaldson, drawing from the film
