New York's Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) has a new program aimed at homeowners to help them make energy efficiency upgrades simply by paying their power bills. The 'On-Bill Recovery Loan' helps to cover major home energy improvements up to $25,000. You repay the low-interest loan, designed to reflect your estimates energy savings, by paying your energy bill.
