Bob Urquhart, IL chapter director of Quilts for Kids, explains the two-fold mission of Quilts for Kids: making quilts for children who are seriously ill, and keeping keep fabric out of landfills. Fabric for the quilt is provided in a precut kit that is sent free of charge to anyone requesting it from their website. The quilts are donated to children suffering from illness or abuse.
