Emile Norman: SF Masonic Temple

  • Aired: 05/25/2011
  • 05:23
  • Rating: NR
In 1958, Norman completed his largest work, a massive window created for the California Masonic Memorial Temple in San Francisco featuring classic Masonic iconography. Made of tiny pieces of crushed glass and other materials, the window was beautifully restored in 2008. Norman also carved a marble sculpture celebrating America's military heroes for the outside of the Temple.
