Kenji Umeda is a sculptor born in Miyazaki, Japan. He studied art at Kettle's Yard, University of Cambridge England; and the Accademia Di Belle Arte in Carrara, Italy. He makes his home in Phoenix though he still maintains a studio in Carrara, Italy, near the stones he uses in his work. Umeda's work is represented in public collections throughout the world.
