The art of Tucson painter, Alfred Quiroz, depicts an absurd world of destruction which he satirizes in larger-than-life paintings. Quiroz says his art is influenced by memories of Vietnam. His 'Medal of Honor Series' portrays colorful, cartoon-like characters engaged in combat. Quiroz recently joined the faculty of the School of Art at the University of Arizona.
