Todd was raised in Phoenix, Arizona then moved to Bisbee, Arizona in 1976 where he started woodturning. Since then he has taught many workshops over the last twenty-five years in the US, Canada, Ireland and Australia. His work is included in museums including the National Museum of American Art, the Smithsonian Institute and the Detroit Institute of Art, along with many private collections.
