This year the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts unveiled the world premiere of the new Chinese art exhibit The Emperor's Private Paradise. It is the first time that the 90 artifacts - which include murals, paintings, wall coverings, furniture, architectural elements, and jades - have been on public display.
